Know What You're
Dealing With First.
Correct identification changes everything about the treatment plan. Browse the most common pests found in Sarasota and Manatee County homes to figure out what you're up against - then let David handle the rest.
Crawling & Venomous
Ants, Roaches, Spiders & Scorpions
The pests most likely to be found on floors, baseboards, and in dark corners - some harmless, a few genuinely venomous.
Ants
Fire ants, ghost ants, carpenter ants, big-headed ants, Argentine ants, and acrobat ants. Each requires a completely different treatment approach.
View Pest Page →Cockroaches
American, German, smokybrown, Florida woods, Australian, and brown-banded roaches. German roaches require a dedicated cleanout program.
View Pest Page →Spiders
Brown widows are the most commonly found widow spider in Sarasota County per UF/IFAS. Most others encountered indoors are harmless.
View Pest Page →Scorpions
The Florida bark scorpion is the species most commonly found indoors. UV blacklight inspection finds them where the naked eye can't.
View Pest Page →Silverfish
Live 3-8 years and silently destroy books, documents, wallpaper, and fabric in Florida's high humidity. Damage often goes unnoticed for years.

Wasps & Yellow Jackets
Not every nest is the same level of problem. Knowing the species changes whether it's a routine visit or a specialty job.
Wasps
Paper wasps, red wasps, and mud daubers - removed as a standard part of every quarterly and Elite visit.
View Pest Page →Yellow Jackets & Hornets
Underground, aerial, or wall void colonies - larger, more defensive, and not included in either pest plan. Quoted separately.
View Pest Page →Flying & Biting Pests
Mosquitoes, Flies, Fleas & Ticks
Some of these carry documented disease risk in Sarasota and Manatee County - not just a comfort issue.
Mosquitoes
The 2023 Sarasota & Manatee malaria cases were the first locally acquired in Florida in two decades. Year-round breeding pressure.
View Pest Page →Flies
Fruit flies, drain flies, phorid flies, fungus gnats, house flies, and blow flies - each breeds in a completely different location.
View Pest Page →Fleas
Year-round breeding in Florida's warmth. Indoor and outdoor treatment both required - covered under the Elite Pest Program.
View Pest Page →Ticks
5 species relevant to this region, including the lone star tick - Florida's most common human-biting tick. Active nearly year-round.

If covered pests return between scheduled treatments, David comes back and retreats at no additional charge.
Household & Stored Goods
Rodents & Pantry Pests
The pests that get into your structure and your stored food - requiring source elimination, not just a spray.
Rodents
Roof rats, Norway rats, and house mice. Nocturnal, destructive, and capable of chewing through wiring. No slow season in Florida's warmth.
View Pest Page →Pantry Pests
Indian meal moths, grain beetles, flour beetles, and weevils. Most infestations begin in the package, not in a dirty kitchen.
View Pest Page →Bats
Florida's protected bats can only be legally excluded outside maternity season. Humane, FWC-compliant exclusion with bat houses available.
View Pest Page →Wildlife
Armadillo, raccoon, opossum, and flying squirrel. Humane trapping with daily trap checks, priced in weekly service periods.
View Pest Page →Fire Ants
Aggressive lawn colonies and a real risk to kids and pets outdoors. One broadcast application covers the whole yard for up to a year.
